We need somebody with more knowledge to shed the light on the topic.

Hmm. I should check with datasheets. If monitor functionality is broken,
it needs to be fixed. Looks like hw filtering interface should be expanded with
promisc mode support.

Yes. This is a known issue though - don't use settings that won't work.
Unfortunately page/channel are set through the 'start' command,
and we better not touch that.
