It dosn't matter what type of network interface it is. Whether that is LAN,
WiFi, dial-up, DSL, cable, or anything else. As far as VMWare is concerned,
if this interface has a TCP/IP stack under windows, then VMWare can
piggyback this stack to emulate its own interfaces for the guest OS.
To configure which VMWare interface is paired with which physical interface
on your computer, just open the Virtual Network Editor, go to Host Virtual
adapters, and add/remove virtual interfaces to suit your needs.
Then on each VMWare virtual machine, pair the virtual ethernet interface
with one of the VMnet interfaces you just configured.
I believe the VMWare user manual does a pretty good job explaining this.
