My experience with both has made me a fan of Mint. Setup of the drivers for video and wireless is painless in Mint. In Ubuntu, I not only had to go find the drivers over the internet, I then had to Google around to find out how to get it to work. With Mint, the drivers were "magically" there and presented as options. I found this with both my Dell using broadcom and an old Compaq using Atheros. I would recommend a wired connection during setup though. > However, I don't *think* the Dell machines use that card. I think they > use a Broadcom. I did not have to google anything with Mint 6 as the driver was presented as an option on the task bar after the first boot.
