It's not a matter of making things compatible for "some antiquated
fellow". It's a matter of accessibility. These so-called webdesigners
think that accessibility means compatibility with antiquity. Not so.
Accessibility means the graceful degradation of the page. Just because I
don't use GeeWhiz 10.2 as my browser does not mean I should be denied
access to the site content. It is usually a simple enough matter to ensure
accessibility, but there is some laziness involved.

[USEMAP] -- activating this link gives a list of links, with alt
attributes (not 'tags' -- img is a tag) to describe the link.
