[gundam] Gundam 00 Episode 9 *Spoilers*

As the title states, Here Be Spoilers.     It appears that the timeline has been moved up.  And it turns out that CB guy apparently has another job that we didn't know about until now.  By the way, am I the only one that thinks that he looks like the guy in RahXephon who was Kamina Ayato's friend in Tokyo?  So something's going on in Azadistan that Marina Ismail hopes will help calm the situation, although it's probably not too big of a leap to suggest that it's NOT going to save the country...  As the advisor quietly asks, why is the UN really there?   We also get confirmation that CB's been around for a while.  More interestingly, CB's had Gundam Meisters for a while.  What were they doing?  And why wasn't anyone aware of them before now?   The HRL's stunt was pretty clever, imo, although fairly common sensical when one thinks about it (but then again, most clever plans are).  Apparently it's resource intensive, which will no doubt be used to explain why it can't be done again.   Why did one of the girls on the bridge collapse?   Sergei's got a history, and apparently he's a talented strategist himself.   The names of the Gundam Meisters are apparently assumed code names.  That explains the unusual names such as "Allelujah" and "Lock-On".  Is Setsuna's name a code name as well?  Anyone know if it means anything in Japanese?   Saji's caught between a rock and a hard place.  Can't say I'd like to be in his shoes.  It looks like his sister is going to start providing us with some needed background on CB's founder.   The stuff listed above was interesting.  The episode plot itself was NOT so interesting, imo, and the plot for this episode felt fairly weak.  Mostly, it felt like a setup for the action to come on the following episode.  The one positive is that the preview suggested that hooks for the next episode won't be resolved in the first five minutes of episode 10 (unlike, say, Setsuna's two fight scenes that start at the end of one episode, and end a few minutes into the start of the next).     junior
