Yet more dangling plot arcs... off the top of my head, I'd say we have more than 12 dangling plot arcs from just 9 episodes. Is Mizushima aiming for some obscure world record? Just from ep.9, we have (1) Lockon's twin brother, (2) UN's agenda, (3) Felt's parents, (4) Sumeragi's past tangle with Sergei. > The HRL's stunt was pretty clever, imo, although fairly common sensical when > one thinks about it (but then again, most clever plans are). As opposed to US military approach, which is even more resource intensive but technology-focussed. > Why did one of the girls on the bridge collapse? You mean Christina? Actually I kind of enjoy the symmetric action. For the first time, it feels like CB is not invincible. For the first (Sergei) and second (Sumeragi) time, someone demonstrates tactical thinking. (I am not counting Sumeragi's and Wong's previous exploits because it felt they could have just phoned it in and let the Ubergundams do the hack-and-slash. Every time I see Sergei I like him a little bit more. And even Soma, she's so inhumanly cool! And Marina! One minute she's a "Your Majesty", next minute "I am the first Princess". Well a Princess is styled "Your Highness", a Queen "Your Majesty" perhaps there's a translation problem there. I don't even know if there's a clear way to translate "Your Highness" and "Your Majesty" into Japanese. And why would someone introduce herself as "FIRST Princess"??? In order to remind the other person that her royal title was fabricated out of thin air? That's screwed up. Could it be that "First Princess" is actually her title? Like "First Violinist" or "First Lieutenant". Either way, this scene is pretty solid proof that she is the (figure)head of state, whether she be a Princess, First Princess or Queen.
