There are a few "don't miss" ports in Maine. Here's my list: - Camden (just north of Rockland) beautiful little town with a big schooner fleet. Try to hitch a ride to the top of the Camden Hills just outside of town.
- Boothbay Harbor - many attractions - take a day trip out to Monhegan Island on the excursion boat, it's easier than taking your own boat. - Mt Desert Island - Bass Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Bar Harbor - rent a car and take a tour of Acadia Park - go to the top of Cadillac Mountain - cruise to the north end of Somes Sound. Take a whale watching boat from Bar Harbor. - Time and weather permitting, consider cruising out east to Roque Island for a day or two. The scenery there is magnificent and unspoiled in any way. =================================================== On Mon, Jul 28, 2008 at 4:39 PM, Stephen Petri <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > We are chartering a boat out of Rockland, Maine this August.
