As I recall,  the CG documentation number has to be permanently  
affixed, in a size not less than (I forget the size), to the hull,  
below.  I know that at the time we documented the first boat ~ 1999  
there was no requirement to have a sticker outside (nys sticker).   
Yes, hailing port on stern, etc.  Perhaps the regs have changed since  
then.
