They come apart when you snip the crosspiece - easy to do, since it
stands just a little proud of the hose. A pair of dikes does it easily.

I've just realized that the action of the Clamptite is exactly
equivalent to a T-clamp: you tighten it to the point that you want, then
cam it over center to lock. Granted, it's not quite as reusable as a
T-clamp, but you could probably make a hundred (or more) wire clamps for
the price of a single T-clamp.
