Not much if anything.  That is why a fear this is a very big hole.  The only 
thing that I can think of is that the skeg ripped out and ripped a hole in the 
hull when it did it.

40 years ago, when my Richardson cruiser was sinking at the dock, we rented a 
2" pump that drew about 10 amps, so possibly 1.5 HP?  It cleared the water in 
about a half hour and the leak was obvious then.
Did your pump keep the water down at all?
