And elaborating on this, here's an even more fun thing you can try...

Take an instrument. It can be anything, but a simple melodic instrument
like triple osc works the best. Add a lowpass filter, then a peak
controller, adjust the lowpass filter so that the cutoff freq is around
C3, then adjust the volume until the volume of the C3 note is at full,
and then it should go lower from there when you go upwards.

Now connect the peak controller to some knob and record it, you can
basically record automations live by playing the keyboard. Playing notes
between C3 and C5, lower notes create higher values, while higher notes
create lower values... you can mute the peak controller so you won't
hear the cacophony...
