this kind of got philisofic and a little sidetrackt - (believe me i do that a LOT on my own, so there is no blame intended :) I wnat to focus on what tres said: /"but be very cautious proposing this because it requires the VST to be a clean-room GPL VST which is tremendously difficult to find."/ THAT is absurdly important! One wrong step here, and someone could scream 'tainted' -that would be a ..brrrrrr.... lawyer! With that in mind, included /bundled effects is not the way to go, but! That does /not/ stop us from making an efford to understand why *f.i.* BC stand-alones, fails to load from saved projects. All that then was left to do, was to add BC plugins as tested working VSTs in the wiki, and let the good news spread. No bundles no infringements, no lost advertizing revenue for the vst-devs - on the contrary aamof. -so in a way a win-win for all. Same could be said for stand-alone zyn effects as ladspas (if they are stand-alones?) Imo its has been a super focus on lmms *mixer* for 1.1. Looks like this now is a top-notch component! 1.2 focus looks to be on *sample-track*. -Fine! 1.3 *could* then focus on *one* exelent effect-suite (even though a focus on useabillity, also would benefit a lot) but at least, lets /not forget/ this, because it is important.
