John, Are you sure the i810 is the one you need? Did you try and add modest X_MODE_0 and X_COLOR_DEPTH options to experiment with? You can always increment their values afterwards up to the point where the errors start showing again. Then you will know you squeezed the maximum out of your screen.
Also, try the IRC channel #ltsp at irc.openprojects which is where all the LTSP gurus are online! Because of the six hour difference in time they're probably awake now. Success.
