Ok,
I've got most everything worked out it seems. I know for a fact
that xdm is starting. I've verified this with both netstat and running
a port scan on the udp side of the stack via nmap. In my lts.conf file,
I've added, XDM_SERVER = 192.168.0.10 (this is the actual address of the
server).
However, when X starts I get the familiar grey screen with an 'X' in
it, and suddenly the screen blacks out. Then after about 30 seconds, it
reappears, and then blacks out again. This continues indefinitely. So,
what am I missing now? Also, in lts.conf, I have X_MODE_O = 800x600. I
saw the entry for one of the other hosts in the sample file. Given the
syntax, and the resolution entry, I added it just to make sure that the
res isn't too much. It's not too much for the monitor. The monitor is
a good, ViewSonic A70, and the video card has been replaced from the
no-name Cirrus Logic chip set to an ATI Mach64 card.
So, where do I go from here?
