Hi Robert,
I should be clear that you only need to update the chroot if you are
running it as (or planning to run it as) a local app (still using ltsp).
You are correct - leave out the proxy command entirely (everything from and
including the semi-colon), BUT if you're running it on the server for
clients, as you know, you don't need any of the chroot section of my notes
at all.
Can you confirm you installed Scratch from the Ubuntu repositories (either
through the command line or through the software centre - shouldn't
matter). Or, did you install from somewhere else via another method?
Also, post up your lts.conf... are you doing anything different from the
default with additional mounts?
Which user directory is Scratch defaulting to try to save to? Are the
permissions okay?
