Hi All,
I agree that the image is sexist. I was myself surprised when I
reached the page and did not find it in place at all. Made me
understand why women like to make their own spaces, to get away from
jokes that are not jokes at all (too serious to be called a joke).
However, I think that the women must also be in a position to fight
against this sort of thing. Calling for it to be removed is a good
first step. But for that to stop you from your objective (of voting
and registering your point of view), is to give in and let it remain
normal. My motto is: no excuses but again, I can easily see how this
would offend.
Well maybe I should, as a male chauvinist pig, shut up now. When I
one day have my sex change operation, I may be back to talk more. I
wouldn't advise you to hold your breath, though.

Invited more participants to the poll and got the following
comment. It's a
view that we need to take seriously also it's the first woman's view.
Comments please

Dear Badru,
I really wanted to vote in your poll but the image that i got on
this site
put me off. It is inappropriate and sexist. If you (you and
collegues) are concerned, please visit this link and look at how
complex
this issue is or how you can help.

Hi all
We have had an interesting online discussion on this issue on our
Linux
Users group and to bring some sanity we suggested an online poll.
Which
one of the members very kindly designed and put up at http://
www.kurup.biz
.
Right now it seems that only men are particpating though it seems
light
hearted I would like to see what the results are.
So if you can please visit the site and cast your Vote. The
questions
were a summarisation of the online discussions.
regards
