regardless of company policy (ours is email servers are for emails) users routinely resist archiving or maintaining their mailbox. the excuse is always that " i need all these emails from 2005 because i might have to access the attached spreadsheet or contract pdf" if the spread sheet or contract is that important, then why not save it properly in a secure location.
