This seems a little too fluffily esoteric. Practically speaking, temperaments are only tools to express musical ideas; some are more useful than others for differing applications. If you intend to modulate to remote keys with a fretted instrument (not only serialism, but also much-most substantial written music post-Bach and even some before), I suggest equal temperament may be the greatest facilitator. If you want to play 16th-c. music in G on 6-course lutes tuned G to g', some non-equal temperament might serve your efforts at expression. If you want to do different things at different times with different fretted thingies, you might even opt to occasionally use equal temperament and occasionally use some meantone scheme, etc. In some applications (e.g., taksim), any temperament at all as necessitated by frets is too constrictive. Thumbing of proverbial noses at one group's temperament choices doesn't serve anybody at all...but it can be amusing.
