This is part of the code that tried to make the input of en-dashes and em- dashes after format change 481 as easy as before. The idea (which was also discussed on the list IIRC) was to make the hyphen key toggle between hyphen, en-dash and em-dash (similar to spaces in mathed). If that behaviour is too confusing then the code should be removed or course. Georg
