So we could have a simple 'insert object', where the external template
is chosen based on the file type (or extension). The idea is that, if
one inserts a xfig or eps file, it should not be necessary to choose a
template, just give the file name.

This means that most of the objects supported by the external inset
can be used with the interface of Insert>Graphics.

Of course, there are external templates which are not related to a
file, but these ones should maybe be moved to somewhere else.

Does this make sense?
