Jeff MacNelley is an American cartoonist who has a sharp wit about life in
general, but has also a pretty good understanding of computers. Another
comic of his says:

"What's that thing?" "Well, it's a highly technical, sensitive instrument
we use in computer repair. Being a layman, you probably can't grasp
exactly what it does. We call it a two-by-four."

I would like to make that one find its way into the docs, as well. I have
been searching for the original "word processor" cartoon to include as an
EPS file. If I find it, you can be sure it will be included.
