hhhmm, you know what you are talking about? :-))
As much as I know LyX file are ascii files and for me there should
be no problem to poste a lyx file _without_ using attachments. Due
to my experienxe even Windows users are able to do so.

Example lyx file 1.lyx:
---8<---
#LyX 1.1 created this file. For more info see http://www.lyx.org/
\lyxformat 218
\textclass scrbook
\language ngerman
\inputencoding auto
\fontscheme avant
\graphics default
\float_placement !ht
\paperfontsize 11
\spacing single
\papersize a4paper
\paperpackage a4
\use_geometry 1
\use_amsmath 0
\paperorientation portrait
\secnumdepth 2
\tocdepth 2
\paragraph_separation skip
\defskip medskip
\quotes_language german
\quotes_times 2
\papercolumns 1
\papersides 2
\paperpagestyle headings

\layout Chapter

Example LyX file

Hmm, may be a couple of co workers shold be able to do this job.
Some kind of tutor who will moderate the first steps and also could
give a helping hand to a list novice.
