I did as you suggested, basically turning off image loading in the
preference pane/restarting. The only change I'm noticing is no images on
the main page and clicking on the text link still gets me the 1x1 pixel.
The title of the page is 'Ad.aspx.gif 1x1 pixels' with the url of
<http://www.postalproblem.ca/(S(shjjo055mzcmz445zozjojeq))/Ads/Ad.aspx?s=a&c=201&a=C>

I also checked out sourceforge.net downloads (because that's the site I'm
most wanting to work) using <http://azureus.sourceforge.net> as a starting
point. Clicking Download takes me to
<http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php> where I'm supposed to choose
which file I'm wanting to download. Choosing the latest,
<http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/azureus/Azureus_2.3.0.6_OSX.dmg?download>
'should' take me to the Choose a Mirror page (which in the past had been
given a default in a cookie that is no longer on my computer.) Instead of
the mirror page or even a download, I have the address listed above and the
1x1 pixel message of 'Azureus_2.3.0.6_OSX.dmg.gif 1x1 pixels' --

Frustrating thing is, this used to be what happened all the time, and about
18 months ago, I did something that fixed it. But all of the things I've
lost over the years, it's my memory that p*sses me off the most. The
solution at the time was so simple.... sigh....
