When I first upgraded to OS X I wasn't able to download from
sourceforge.net -- anything I linked on that went to
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/xxx ended up as a 1x1 pixel. Eventually
I did 'something' that worked and I had no problems getting to the mirror
page and setting a default mirror for downloads. However, since upgrading
to 10.4 (fresh install a few months back) I'm back to the same problem with
downloads no matter which browser I use, and I've tried most of them.
Booting back into an old copy of 10.3.9 did not solve the problem, as I'd
hoped. As near as I can figure, I'm having a problem with 'http redirects'
(?) -- I've checked firewall settings in both OS X and NetBarrier but can't
find anything remotely familiar.
I'm a fan of opensource and really miss being able to download. Help!
