RAM Direct is my vendor of choice. Nothing against the others though.

If the RAM comes from the states and you buy sufficient quantity to warrant taxes, Canada Post will have its hand out for GST & PST too. There won't be getting out of paying them unless your shipper under values your order, or there is confusion as to how much it is worth.

Hi All,

I am looking to buy memory for my 12' G4 (1.33 Mhz). With shipping it would cost $230 to buy the card from CanadaRam. OWC in the United States would be $186. OWC will ship by USpost. My question are:

Has anybody ever bought something from OWC?
Is there some other cost with OWC I am missing?

Thanks,

Mark

I haven't bought anything from OWC, but there might be a $5 CDN fee, if they sent it in a way (size, or priority) that requires hand delivery or signing off. Most of my purchases came in a puffy envelope straight to my mailbox, but my last order (from Ram Direct, if I recall) came hand delivered in a box almost half the size of a shoe box, hence the fee to Canada Post.
