It's far more of a nuisance to wade thru a thread whose subject is of
interest, only to find innumberble OT posts. It's called nettiquette. And
oddly enough *this* situation comes up regularly as well. (And I'm not
even going to *touch* the issue of top v bottom posting . . )

Yes you can - because *you* know the content isn't worth your time. The
rest of us do not.

NP. I managed to find the spare 6 seconds to do it ;-)

Call me odd, but if I unsubscribed from a an email list, I'd likely ignore
and/or auto-delete anything from there from that point forward. The
chances of her reading a response sent directly, with the subject of
"Unsubscribing", would have a greater chance of being read - and,
thus, acted upon - compared to one from the list labelled "Buying Memory".
That was the idea, correct? To help this member with a difficulty?

As well, it avoided cluttering up this list. Initially. Obviously *more*
clutter has ensued. Oh well. At least no one will think we're talking
about where to get a good deal on RAM (though I still remain very
interested in that!)

Cheers!
