Cheers Mark....I was thinking at some point in the future that it might be worth upgrading my B&W to Tiger (it's running 10.1.5 at the moment, but really only as a file server, so it's OK apart from wanting to spin its drives down at every possible opportunity). I'll bear in mind what you've discovered. Mine's still using the stock G3 processor. My initial impression regarding Tiger, after using a Mac mini for about a month, is that the Finder's not much faster than with Panther on my G3 iBook. Applications, on the other hand, are much quicker though that would probably apply just as much if 10.3 was present.
