Hi Brian,

In order, I'd suspect memory and the IDE cable but another thought strikes me.

Could it be overheating in some way? Over the years I've seen this with one or
two machines of various vintages.

On one occasion I supported a DEC Microvax that would crash when it got hot. I
managed to keep it running for a couple of weeks by routing air from the air
con directly onto it's motherboard while a replacement was found. The only
thing suitable I could lay my hands on at the time was a black bin bag and a
roll of parcel tape. Boy did it look odd. It did keep the development team
running though so several brownie points were earned :-)

Cheers.

Andy.
