OK - as this was my best next hunch - Has anyone got a spare IDE HD drive cable that fits a beige G3? ;-) Or are they a standard thing easy to get anywhere? In a spirit of exchange I could list a load of old Mac stuff here and let any of it go for the post/carriage - or collect in N Norfolk. Nothing exciting - unless of course it is something you actually want. I had my finger on the buy button of a 15 inch Powerbook on the Apple refurb today. I need to get a capable portable and maybe will have to sell my twin G4 1.25 or my soul to finance it. Has anyone gone for one of the new 1.67 ghz models yet? Maybe I should get to a store and try it but what is there on a shop model that indicates how much bolox it has? I use Freeway and on large sites I have to wait a bit for a save - I would not want too long a wait or it gets silly - hence I don't trust getting a cheaper old Powerbook or iBook. all the best Brian -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
