Can you please add something saying X11 is not needed anymore ? Like :
OpenOffice.org Aqua - requires Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger).
and does not require X11 anymore (this is IMHO one extremely
important point)
.. or better (it is up to you :-) )
Other question: what is the problem with shared folder ? (Starting
OpenOffice.org from a shared folder does not work )
Is this point very important ? I'd prefer put it in the bottom of the
list ...
For end-users that have their home folders on a server, or their Apps
folder is on a server, and want to try the app before nagging their
system administrator, this is important. It's one of those 'at my
place it works, it should work at your place, I don't understand why
it's not running at your machine'.
Mind you, OpenOffice is in good company: Skype used to have the same
problem. I don't know if the current version still has this problem.
On the other hand, it was just an example of end-user bugs. But as far
as I could see from the bug list, these were the important items for
end-users. Mind you, with the current rate that you people build and
fix code this all could be fixed before the alpha ;-)
Last but not least, yes, add X11 and Aqua in the name to make things
clear is important.
Do end-users know what X11 and Aqua is? Perhaps something like OS X
native (aqua) would be more clear?
Perhaps something like:
OpenOffice.org Product: OpenOffice.org Aqua Alpha
This version does not require the X11 window environment and will run
just like any other native OS X application.
Thats all for me :-)
