i looked at the LED macbook pro at compusa under florescent lighting,
and i could not see a discernible difference. yes it was brighter,
but that is not necessarily a good thing for properly editing photos.

i was more interested in your 'personal' impression of how it
displays (renders) color, ie is the color 'noticeably' richer to
'you'? it wasn't richer to me, but i work on a 20" cinema display.

how an image behaves within an application, redraws etc., is a
function of the video card which are generally adequate.

why i ask, is that i'm in need of a laptop and the macbook satisfies
my meager requirements. i am supposing that the LED monitor will
filter down to the macbook in the next product cycle. battery life is
not a concern, and it's not apparent to me that there is any
compelling reason to wait.

and of course, i will never be kewl. best...jf
