On the dead one: Did you try any of the really interesting fixes for the screen? Like taping coins inside the case or heat gun on the video board? I did get the coin one to work for a while. I think I'm going to try the heat gun thing next. Can't quite get my mind around setting fire to the tealite full of alcohol (sitting on the logic board) yet though. Amazing what one is willing to try between the desk and the trash can!
