Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with Freedom. I had a similar problem with my BrailleLite. I sent it in for repair only to have Freedom tell me that the New York State Commission for the Blind had not paid them for the repair yet, so they would not release it to me. I gave them my credit card and $450 later, I had myself a BrailleLite. You might be wondering what the repair was, changing the battery. That's all they did, needless to say I thought it was a ripoff, and the Commission thought I had other repairs made to it since the price was so high.
