Hi Anouk, Actually, the internal speaker on the MBA really isn't bad. As Neil said, it lacks some of the fullness of the speaker on the MBP, but I don't think it's unacceptable at all. And it puts out a lot of volume. I know you said you were planning to buy headphones, but thought you'd want to know that you won't have to use them unless you want to.
