To connect to twitter: Go to system preferences, mail, contacts, calendars setting. then you'll find an internet accounts table. Interact with that, and vo down arrow to twitter. Then you can stop interacting, and go to the add button. You'll be asked for your twitter credentials, and should be all set from there.
