Agreed, and as you reference mud-builder later on, I've *no* problem in the Maemo team providing a proper auto-builder and destroying some aspects of mud. In fact, it'd be better as mud could concentrate on repackaging upstream tarballs etc. to source bundles necessary for the Maemo autobuilder, and not have to worry about the boring auto-build stuff. > As regards implementation, note that the mud-builder project in garage > has already done some useful work here - but in any case I don't think > this auto-builder would be technically difficult; it's more a matter > of whether you agree that this service would be a good idea and could > invest the management resource to make it available. Agreed. Personally, I think it'd help enormously with getting stuff into extras, and improving the general Maemo landscape. Instead of mud-builder, it'd almost certainly be worth using the Debian/Ubuntu infrastructure designed for this kind of thing: mud-builder is still at a much lower scale than this'd need to be (with queues, error handling/emailing etc.) Cheers, Andrew -- Andrew Flegg -- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | http://www.bleb.org/ _______________________________________________ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
