I live in Poland. Yes, I have heard that American banking industry is now a bit "backwards" when it comes to technology. It is probably due to fact that it developed in this form for many years, and so there is quite a big resistance against introducing any changes. On the contrary, our banking system was very underdeveloped before 2000s, but when it started to develop, it adopted all technological novelties very quickly. Ever heard of BLIK? https://blikmobile.pl/en/ I'm not a fan of smartphones and in fact I don't have one at all, but I understand that this is a completely new service that - to my knowledge - operates currently only in Poland. I heard that it is being deployed in other European countries now as well. -- Regards, Jaroslaw Rafa r...@rafa.eu.org -- "In a million years, when kids go to school, they're gonna know: once there was a Hushpuppy, and she lived with her daddy in the Bathtub." _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://chilli.nosignal.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mailop
