She's at Shopify, but Sendgrid is the ESP. Perhaps she can confirm with Sendgrid that they're not retrying 4xx and so are losing customer mail. Given how much mail I get from Sendgrid that should not have been sent in the first place, I'm not inclined to push too hard on that point.
