Maptitude - http://research.umbc.edu/~roswell/maptitude.html
Hi all:
This is a pity, for the non web app, but I belive is very good news for
M4W
Community.

You are totally right! As I said it is a pity...

Very good indeed, and fast too. There are some improvements that can be
done to
increase speed, beauty of maps and eficiency of cartography, but the
site is
very good.
Speeking of speed, I would like to ask for help, please. We have noticed
that
M4W can use PNG images as well as JPG for map outputs. And I have read
somewhere that something could be done with the new version of M4W to
select the proper image file whenever needed, that is if the user have a
pre-5 version of a browser, then a JPG image will be required, instead
of the PNG, which is smaller and of better quality, but unknown to older
versions of Web Browsers. My specific question is how to "teach" M4W to
automatically switch from PNG to JPG outputs as required?
Thanks in advance for your aid.
Best regards,
Reinaldo
