Hi friends.
This is a request, and also a proposed solution:
I think this utilities.rsc file is a great initiative, and sincerely thank
those involved in its development!
The one thing I don't like, though, is the exclusive use of email to send
out the code. Email is fine, but:
a> it's hard to find what you need when you need it. (Lots of email!)
b> I don't know if the code works when line endings wrap
(do line endings need to be fixed if they wrap?)
c> I'd rather have these available on a web page.
I know that the main concern is being able to update the files as needed,
and it's a legitimate concern that directionsmag.com might not update
files as often as we need. (Especially since our now-weeks-ago uploads are
still in their unapproved "newest additions" section.)
I offer this solution:

It's a slightly dangerous one, because same-name files will easily
overwrite other files, but for our purpose, that's good. (that's what the
/archive/ URL is for.
Once the first utility.rsc is up there, I'll put a link to it from
directionsmag.com (as opposed to uploading the file to directionsmag.com.
They do offer that option.)
I'm using PHP to do this, and I daresay, you'll find this upload utility
to be faster than the one at directionsmag.com.

This is just for this utility project, and any other project files that we
expect will undergo frequent upgrades. For regular purposes.
directionsmag.com is still the way to go, I think.
