I read in an Excel file (Office 2000) into Maptitude and I get for the
variable names F F1 F2 F3 ... etc. not the correct variable names, and no
progress bar - it just appears very quickly.
No amount of fiddling around changes this. other EXCEL files are OK, not
this one. In Excel the file looks fine, but when read into Maptitude the
variable names are replaced. The variables are on the top row, in fact it
has worked before with not the same file but an earlier version.
Let me tell what happens. I am replacing a file that is already there call
nd.xls. One time when I changed the file name to ND1.xls, then the columns
names were read in correctly. A progress bar appears. Then later they were
not. Then I set the "print area" and formatted the columns to fit the data.
All of a sudden it works - signified by the appearance of the progress bar
that something was being read in.
Any ideas?
