Fun fact: Gorz cited the Grundrisse in his 1964 book, Stratégie ouvrière et
néocapitalisme. Martin Nicolaus and Victoria Ortiz translated it as A Strategy
for Labour in 1967. Nicolaus went on to translate the Grundrisse into English.
My understanding is that Gprz's book introduced him to the Grundrisse. In my
reading, the idea of non-reformist reforms is deeply embedded in Marx's mature
political economy, emerging in the Grundrisse and consolidated in Capital and
his work with the International.
