We're on the same page, Hari. It is only a segment of the class which turns right - " the workers most susceptible to racist, jingoistic, and other reactionary prejudices" who combine with the petty bourgeoisie to form the mass base of fascism. Others, as you say, resign themselves to the defeat while staying true to their convictions, keeping their heads down and waiting and hoping for the tide to turn.
