"white workers who have historically been the most privileged stratum of the 
working class" - since most workers have been white, it is a stretch to call 
them the most privileged stratum. Not to mention that they did not have 
privilege; they are less exploited than Blacks and Latinos but still exploited. 
Elementary Marxism? Not for Gandall.

"his [Trump's] support drop among white as well as non-white workers in 
NYC,..." Is this an upside-down deduction from Mamdani's victory? The salient 
fact here is that Mamdani won by a large margin among upper-middle income 
workers, but by a much smaller margin among middle and lower-middle income 
workers.
