The second is the lack of networking which relates to the first in a very mac-like way. One would use explore2fs for the job on a pc, would anyone know of a utility to browse exfs2-3 partitions under the classic macOS in the same way, worse comes to worse I'll install a min 9.1mdk just to transfer.
I would use a FAT32 partition as the bridge between Linux and MacOS if networking is not available. I know of no MacOS software to access ext2-3. Last time I checked, HFS access from Linux was read only, or writable if you want to corrupt your HFS files ;(
