What would you say is the minimum hard drive size for installation on a 3400c, 
and do you think these old things are worth spending the 80 bucks to replace 
the HD if it's too small?  Can you install if you don't have a CD rom drive but 
do have another Mac with a CD drive?

I had kind of written off my 3400 because of the 1.3 gig HD and lack of CD 
drive. If I could find an expansion slot CD drive, or an external one, fairly 
cheap, it might be kind of fun to try. Otherwise I was thinking I'd wait until 
I had enough experience to tackle a BSD install.  What do you (plural) think?
