Hello Everyone;
        Sorry for my ignorance, and thank you for all your assistance,

I now have my MaxDB setup and running!

Now I can learn even more. Are there any good books on SapDB/MaxDB ? I've
acquired the .pdf manuals from the mysql website.

Thank you for everything,

Billy Willoughby

Hi Billy,
I assume that your log area is full! You have to activate the autosave log
feature!
Scan the archive for detailed informations.

Ok guys, Good Morning;

I feel the dummy. That worked, I misunderstood the example I was
reading about how to create a database. I got the database activate to work.
Now I can bring the data online it says OK. When I do the next command I
found in the example (load_systab -ud sql or I tried load_systab -ud dbm)
the system just hangs.(I've waited over an hour) It hangs there (Create
System Tables...) if I use the GUI Wizard as well. I'm soooo close I can
taste it.  Any ideas?

Thank you for your time and assistance,

Billy Willoughby

Billy,

Change the line

db_activate dbm,dbm
to
db_acticate dba,dba

The purpose of this command is to create the dba or system database
administrator. This command will fail, of course, if you try to grant
that privlage to yourself (DBM)
