Good Morning;
Ok, I uninstalled MaxDB and reinstalled only
maxdb-all-win-32bit-i386-7_5_0_8 and used the 'all' option. I'm running on
WINDOWS XP Professional, all patches installed. I'm logged in as an
Administrator. I have not changed any of the security on any of the created
services or directories. I have the commands that I ran directly from
DBMCLI below, along with all the files that I think have been requested in
that past.
I find something odd however with the services. MaxDB creates the
services SAPDB: .M750008* by default. If I try to run the service that ends
in (omststknl.exe) I get the message "Error 2: The system cannot find the
file specified." After I create the BVW database I get the same error with
the SAPDB: BVW(omststknl.exe) service. The security on all the services is
still the default "Local System Account". When I do a search on my
computer, I can NOT find a file omststknl.exe if that's important. I
apologize for the long post, I just want to get this working and I'm hoping
that some information here may jump out at someone what I'm doing wrong.

So, according to the files you sent me, before the database can be
created, it is throwing a -7017, or a User not allowed error.
The output of your dbmsrv file matches pretty much exactly what it
should be, so in my mind that rules out some sort of protocol
incompatibility.
The Solution: (I think)
This sort of error can be caused by choosing an invalid DBM username.
Try this:
Do the wizard again, only accept all of the defaults in all sections.
The default dbm username and password is dbm/dbm.
Let me know if that works.
