Ah, well that's not so good. There's a feature of NNTP (the news protocol)
which allows you to cancel messages on the server, or supercede them with a
new message. It's simply a case of sending a message with "Cancel:
<message-id>" or "Supercedes: <message-id>" in the header, I think. This
can be done with the "extra headers" feature in MD2, but it means seeking
out the original message, finding the message ID and then composing a new
message with that header. Not terribly elegant. However, it should be
fairly simple to write a script which does this for you, I'll check out the
exact specifics of NNTP to ensure I've got this correct, and might give it
a try when I get a bit of time. Not that I've actually been anything
constructive all weekend anyway.
