My personal pet peeve with HTML email is in regard to quoting for a reply.
It's really messy.  I always divide a message to quote to parts
individually.  Doing this with HTML email is a real pain in the ass.  This
is particularly a problem with somebody who isn't reading email with HTML
turned on.  It becomes nearly unreadable because you can't tell who wrote
what.

For someone who receives LOTS of email in a workday, this is a major
frustration for me.
